Apple released Leopard to the world in 2007 and judging by the sales numbers, we need to take notice! MacOS based computers are now 8% of the market. Complicating matters for us as forensic investigators, Leopard introduced new technologies, and changed a few just as we were getting to know them. Summarizing the main technologies that you should be aware of are three lists below. Some things are of large concern when you approach a Macintosh for the first time in an investigation, others are important as you are conducting your examination later in your off-site area. As you will see throughout the site, I like to remind you that the advice here is not a substitute for training. If anything here is new or confusing, do not try it on live evidence for the first time!
